On October 27, the Cadence Academic Network organized the 1st Cadence Academic Workshop in Israel. More than 20 professors as well as PhDs and master students from five major Israeli universities attended the workshop at Bar Ilan University. The first part was dedicated to the Cadence Academic Network and what it offers to academia, and the second part was about the Innovus and Tempus digital implementation and timing signoff flow, which Cadence introduces to universities, since we think that the students should have access to the latest industry-standard design software. Cadence engineers Shmuel Zagury and Maxim Krakov delivered the Innovus and Tempus part, which was very warmly received by the audience. At CDNLive Israel two academic papers were presented, one from Bar Ilan University and one from Tel Aviv University. Jenia Elkind from Tel Aviv University got the Best Paper Award in the Custom IC track, which underlines the high quality of academic research and education in Israel. Anton Klotz
