For he's a jolly good Fellow, for he's a jolly good Fellow... Effective January 1, 2016, Chris Rowen, our CTO, became an IEEE Fellow with this citation: "for leadership in the development of microprocessors and reduced instruction set computers" The IEEE Fellow is one of the most prestigious honors of the IEEE, and is bestowed upon a very limited number of Senior Members who have contributed importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology, bringing significant value to our society. The number of IEEE Fellows elevated in a year is no more than one-tenth of one percent of the total IEEE voting membership. Our master corporate blogger, Paul McLellan, wrote a wonderful piece on Chris's background. It's definitely worth reading, and you can find it here. Did you know Chris started off as a historian? His first job as at Intel. He was on the founding team of MIPS. Read more in Paul's blog. Paula Jones
