The Cadence® Virtuoso® ADE Assembler , Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Virtuoso ADE Verifier Rapid Adoption Kit (RAK) has been updated to cover the new features in IC6.1.8/ICADVM18.1. This RAK will get you up to speed with using ADE Explorer and ADE Assembler and highlights all the major features of these tools. The major new features for IC6.1.8/ICADVM18.1 include: Setup Library Assistant Worst Case Corners in Run Plan Maestro Plotting Templates Setup Library Assistant The Setup Library Assistant (SLA) allows setups to be shared between designs and can be used to help verify that the correct sweeps and corners have been run. The assistant is common to ADE Assembler and ADE Verifier and it allows you to: Define, create, maintain and share project specific master setup such as sweeps and corners Use ADE Verifier to measure the coverage of overall design blocks ensuring the required set of sweeps and corners have been run on each block There is also a handy little Task Assistant available on clicking the icon from the SLA toolbar. This assistant brings you task-based help and lots of additional resources to get you started with the SLA. Worst Case Corners in Run Plan You can now use the Worst Case Corners run mode in the Run Plan assistant to identify the corner conditions that represent the worst case conditions for your circuit. Having this as part of the Run Plan assistant means that you can create the worst case corners, then use these corners in another run. Conditions can optionally be added to each run too. Maestro Plotting Templates Probably the most exciting feature added in this release is the ability to create and re-use plotting templates. You'll finally be able to set up plots in Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis in a particular style, zoom level, with markers and be able to re-use this setup in a later simulation. You can also share these between Maestro cellviews. The subwindows in ViVA have had a bit of a revamp too.
