Cadence is doing a lot at DAC as usual. Here is a summary. But read it carefully, because some things you can't leave to the last minute. You need to sign up or you may be disappointed. In particular, you must sign up for the Denali party and pick up your armband before noon. Instructions on how to do that are below. Expert Bar As at last year's DAC (and some other shows that Cadence has attended), we will have an expert bar where you can talk to black-belt application engineers and development engineers about products in as much depth as you want to go into. Not all experts are at the bar all the time, so make sure to check our schedule of which topics will be covered when . You just show up, no need to book. Solutions Suites There are three interactive suites focused on particular product areas: Race from RTL to signoff up to 10X faster in the Digital Speedway Suite, where you'll learn all about our full-flow digital and automotive solutions. After your meeting, test your racing skills. Be one of the fastest finishers for the day to win bragging rights and your own RC car. Fly through space in the Verification Station powered by our JasperGold, Incisive, RocketSim, Palladium, and Protium technologies. And when all the work is done, test your skills with some fun video games using the NVIDIA SHIELD and look for a chance to take home your own NVIDIA SHIELD. Experience the new sound of analog design in the Custom/Analog Suite, where you can celebrate the 25th anniversary of Virtuoso innovation, explore new Virtuoso products, and discover how characterization and circuit simulation support advanced nodes. Step through the evolution of wearable music electronics and, after your meeting, take home a musical gift. Cadence Theater Come and hear customer and partner experiences at the Cadence Theater. Keep an eye out for my upcoming post on the theater topics. Presentations and Panels There are lots of Cadence presenters at various events through the conference. Get all the details. One event in particular I will point out is that at from 11:30am-12:15pm on Wednesday June 8, Lip-Bu Tan, Cadence's CEO will be at the DAC pavilion on the exhibit floor, where he will be interviewed by Ed Sperling on where the money is flowing, how it's being spent or mis-spent, and how that will play out across the semiconductor industry. There Is Such a Thing as a Free Lunch There are two Cadence lunches. Monday from 12:00pm-1:30pm on Seamlessly Connected Verification Engines? What Does It Take? This will be a panel moderated by Brian Fuller of ARM, with panelists Alex Starr, who is a fellow at AMD, Mike Stelifox who is a fellow here at Cadence, and Jim Hogan of Vista Ventures. Wednesday from 12:00-1:30pm, our panel covers 5 Ways to Boost Your Productivity Designing Advanced Nodes . The details are being finalized but the panelists will be from AMD, ARM, TSMC, and Cadence. The lunches are free but you must pre-register. Register now and get the full details. The Denali Party What would DAC be without the Denali party? This year it is from 8:00pm to 12.30am on Tuesday June 7. It will be held in Maggie Mae's at 323 E 6th Street. Of course, Disco Inferno will be there as always. But you must pre-register. But that just means that there will be a wristband waiting for you. You must then come and pick up the wristband at the Cadence booth #107 before noon or your wristband will be given to another person (yes, really). As is traditional, the party is open to all, even competitors of Cadence. So register now! Social Media Follow us by using the hashtags #CDNS #53DAC or follow us on Twitter @cadence . You can follow me personally, as always, using the hashtag #breakfastbytes for this blog, or by following me on Twitter @paulmclellan . The Matrix If you want to find out what is going on at DAC and when, there is a complete matrix by day, by room, by hour. Like the pills in The Matrix , it is color coded. You can also filter it in various ways. However, it is not that easy to find on the DAC website, especially if you don't even know to look. But we like to make things easy for you. To be clear, it doesn't just list Cadence events, it is a DAC matrix and covers all the various tracks, the pavilion panels, and more. Here is the link to all things Cadence at DAC . We are in booth #107 in the corner. And if you can't get enough of Disco Inferno, here they were at last year's Denali party: (Please visit the site to view this video) Previous: Bayern München Come to CDNLive EMEA
